Absolutely delicious! Grinds 2 Da Max is the epitome of authentic island flavor and is totally worth the five stars. They just opened a month ago and is already garnering attention of foodie goers. This is the place to go to if you are wanting some really good Hawaiian food. The owner is from Oahu and very friendly. Though they are a small family owned business, they do offer catering. Keep in mind they are closed on Monday.
I had Lemon Butter Garlic Shrimp and added Fried Noodles. Shrimp is fried first and then generously coated in lemon garlic butter which taste so fingerlicking good! Fried Noodles are savory and mixed with finely chopped Japanese fish cake giving it great flavor. The meal comes with homemade kimchee and a tasty potato crab salad made with noodles. I've also tried Dynamite Katsu, the meat is tender and it has an amazing wasabi aioli and mild spicy sauce that will make you go yum!
There is just so much to explore on their menu. They offer seafood, poke bowl, chicken, steak, and pork. Their specials are Meat Jun, Lau Lau, and Pastele Stew. All regular plates come with two scoops of rice, homemade kimchee, and potato crab salad or mixed greens. I usually go for a large order and the food portions are generous. For dessert, Japanese Milk Pudding is delightful! You must try this. The pudding is served in a small container. Texture is smooth and silky, served with a yummy syrup and it's not too sweet. Everything I had is delicious and would highly recommend them for any future catering. -

This is One of the BEST spots for local Hawaii flavors!
We ordered two combos with lemon garlic shrimp (so ONO). One combo was with Dynamite Katsu, which is lightly covered in a mild wasabi mayo sauce and a sweet katsu sauce. I don't like wasabi, so I was not expecting to like it so much, but it was delicious! Highly recommend this dish, especially with the lemon shrimp, it was a perfecT combination! The garlic chicken in the second combo was perfect seasoned in a sweet and salty fashion and reminded me of one of my favorite spots in Hawaii. Delish!
Dessert: The Japanese pudding was a perfect ending to a great lunch. It was light, but rich at the same time and Perfectly Topped with Japanese molasses YUM!

The CSN internet food court is one of my favorite spots to try new up and coming local businesses! I popped by recently for lunch and saw the signage for this new counter and grabbed a menu. I've since gone by twice for pickup orders and the food is damn delicious.
First order: Spicy poke bowl with sushi rice. Filling portion, sided with crab-potato salad and a bit of seaweed salad, topped with some avocado. Portion and price on par with elsewhere, really liked the sauce here. Coworkers across the office said my lunch smelled amazing, and I was sure to let them know it tasted that way too!
Second order: Lemon Garlic Shrimp Plate. Lord have mercy! I used to get my fix for this order at Fist of Fusion, but they closed a few months back. This will be my new hookup when a craving hits. Shrimp are plentiful (10?), well seasoned, there's a mountain of garlic seasoning both the shrimp and rice. You should be required to sign a waiver for your health, the portion size is so big. I couldn't help myself though, it was so good that I finished eating in my car so my boyfriend wouldn't ask me to share. And I'll probably be doing it again. No ragrets.
In short, great food. I'm not Hawaiian so someone else can evaluate the authenticity. I just know that I will be back for the great food. -

OMG!!! Dis place is totally where home (Oahu) is at! Yes! We finally found our home tasting grinez! It is right above CSN college campus on Charleston right next to da car wash thingie... Da building says Internet Cafe and as you go inside Grinds2damax is on the right side da very last window... It no more any signs on da walls but get signs on da counter...
All da food is was wat we call our local comfort food... I had such a hard time trying to figure out what to get. So many choices... I wanted everything! I ending up getting da lemon butter garlic shrimp plate with fried saimin which came wit one scoop rice which dey put da butter garlic sauce on top (DABOMB.COM) wit homemade kimchee and OMG mac salad (DAT EVEN MO DABOMB.COM) N had to get da limu poke (YES! ONOLISHOUS!) N da ginger sauce poke (OMG!) N da kimchee dip wit crackerz... My daughter had da Dynamite Chicken Bites wit da same sides (DYNAMITE IS RIGHT!!!) Oh n da Japanese Milk pudding (UNREALZ!)... Talk bout Kanak Attack!!!
